The Philippines is undeniably beautiful and it is such a shame that I have not fully explored my country. In anticipation for the upcoming Summer season, here is my Bucket List: Philippine Edition, which I hope to visit this year.

I've always dreamt of travelling around the world or at least going to one country in all continents. While Europe has always been and will always be on top of my bucket list, I may have to prioritize Latin American countries first, preferably this 2016 or early 2017.
My mom brought me with her to one of her business trips to Sydney back in 2009. I never had the chance to thoroughly tour the city as I was alone. If I remember correctly, I spent most of my time in the hotel room or walking around the city, hunting for shopping malls.
I have to admit, I was a little anxious about staying in an Airbnb in Osaka. We knew that this was the way to go since there are six of us in the family and this would mean renting out at least two rooms in a hotel. Indeed, renting out an apartment would be cheaper.
Forgive me but I am not yet over our Japan trip. I do hope you all enjoyed my previous posts.

We spent four days
discovering the cultural and more traditional sights that Osaka has to offer.
For our fifth day, however, we visited the modern part of Osaka, its
transportation hub, shopping and business district, Umeda.

Like Nara, Kyoto also used
to be the capital of Japan. As a center of learning and culture, Kyoto is an
important part of one’s travel plans to Kansai. I have to admit, however, that
the schedule that I have allotted for this trip was relatively insufficient to
fully explore this magnificent city.

While working on our
itinerary, I chanced upon an article stating that most tourist attractions are
closed on New Year’s Day. I read that in visiting Japan during the New Year, it
is best to join the crowd doing hatsumode, the first visit to a shrine or
temple. What better way to experience this festival than visit Nara, Japan’s
first permanent capital which houses the oldest and largest temples.

Since I was a kid, my mom
has always wanted to spend New Year’s Eve in a place other than Manila. As many
of you know by the now, New Year’s Eve in Manila is very loud and dangerous
most especially it is common in this country to welcome the New Year by firing
guns, thus the increasing number of victims of the ligaw na bala.
However, it was only last
year that we had the chance to go out of town on New Year’s Eve. We welcomed
2015 in Puerto Princesa. This year, we flew all the way to Osaka.
