Interstate Tour: Philadelphia, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, Thousand Islands

Being a graduate of law and the social sciences, history, government and well, the law, fascinate me.  I have experienced these all in the Interstate Tour of Philadelphia, Washington DC, Niagara Falls and the Thousands Islands in New York.

We booked a three-day tour with Take Tours. On the first day of the trip, we boarded their bus in New Jersey. Aside from transportation, the tour also included hotel accommodations for two nights: In a Best Western in during the first night and in a Holiday Inn during the second night.

The first stop is at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Aside from the Philly Cheesesteak, Philadelphia is widely known for its rich history. It served as the First Capital of the United States while Washington D.C. was undergoing construction. The highlights of this trip were the tour of the Independence Hall (where the Constitution of the United States of America was debated upon and signed) and the Liberty Bell, the iconic symbol of American Independence.

I actually forgot what this building is. :)

After touring Philadelphia, we headed straight to Delaware for lunch. We had Popeye's! I still dream about Popeye's until today. Why don't we have this here in the Philippines?

Fun fact: There are no sales taxes in Delaware!

The second stop is of course, the seat of government of the US, Washington D.C.

We headed to Niagara Falls on the second day. Most of the attractions, especially the Maid of the Mist, were closed because the Falls are still frozen.

Finally, on our third day, we went on a cruise featuring the Thousand Islands. The Thousand Islands lie on the border of Canada and the United States. The cruise features the magnificent vacation homes of the elite.

Our Tour Guides from Take Tours provided us with detailed information as we explore every attraction. Take this tour, when in the East Coast. It's definitely worth it!
