Facetime Camera Problems

Job Well Done: Power Mac Center Aura

I noticed that my Facetime Camera has been having problems as early as July this year. I bought my MacBook exactly one year ago that is why I was hesitant to accept the fact that there are problems with it. I first had it checked last July with Switch in Glorietta. The people in their Service Center were not very accommodating, telling me that I have to leave my Mac with them for 3-4 days as they have to open it so that they would understand the cause behind my erratic camera. Because I was crazy busy that time, I did not leave my Mac with them. Instead, I hoped for the best, believing that the issue would be resolved on its own.

But it did not.

At first, my Facetime Camera would only stop working while I am using it. Two weeks ago, however, I cannot even open it. Worse, there were gray horizontal lines that appeared when I launch the application. At this point, I knew I had to bring it in. I chose to bring it to the new Power Mac service center in Aura rather than to Switch.

I was fourteen days away from the expiration of my warranty. The person at the Service Center said that it's a good thing that I brought my Mac in before the warranty expired so that I would not be charged for anything.

It took them ten days to repair my laptop. The period for diagnosis lasted for three days but they had to keep it longer as there were problems noted on my display. Because Macbooks have built in cameras, the service center resolved to replace my entire display, for free!

Now, my Facetime Camera is working excellently again. Job well Done, Power Mac Center Aura!
