1. You will never be ready for class

Never. I can no longer count the number of times I stayed up all night, trying to finish that 500 page reading assignment but still couldn't recite properly in class. The hell with what you've read, the professor can still ask questions that are out of this world. 

2. Failure is inevitable

In recitations. In exams. Oh and did I tell you? The Bar Exams.

3. Weight gain is likewise, inevitable

There's stress eating coupled with lack of sleep and binge treating.

4. Breakouts, also

Oh law school, you make us ugly.

5. The legal profession is not as glamorous as what you see on Television

No, you don't get to be Elle Woods. Or Harvey Specter. You're in corporate attire with heels to boot as you run from one hearing to another in the glorious Manila Heat.

6. 95% of the things you need to know in practice won't be taught in law school

Sure, you know the Rules of Civil Procedure, but do you know how to deal with clients who think they're better than you? What about the procedures in quasi-judicial agencies? 

7. It doesn't matter how good you were in law school, you could still flunk the bar exam.

Yup, some of the best and the brightest students fail the bar exam. Not because they didn't study but... Well, we actually do not know. Although there is a prevailing view that they have become too complacent. 

8. A law degree would not increase your chances of employment.
