I have ridiculously sensitive skin. Stress and the wrong cosmetics make my skin breakout like crazy.
I have tried a number of clinics in the past. Most of which were located in malls wherein the facials are done by the assistants and not the dermatologist himself/herself. These clinics failed to stop the breakouts and left pimple marks all over the face. Worse, they prescribe products that are not just expensive but ineffective as well.
Two years ago, my boyfriend introduced me to his dermatologist. She has done a wonderful job in preventing breakouts and making my skin glow.
I have experienced a major breakout a month ago. Since I was busy reviewing back then, I had no time to go to my Derma whose clinic is still located in Caloocan.
Unlike other clinics, my dermatologist attends to each and every patient. While her technicians are the ones who massages her clients' faces, cleanses them, etc., it is she who performs the important procedures.
Since I have a low pain threshold, my dermatologist makes sure that she keeps me entertained while pricking my face. She and I would always engage in meaningful conversation, taking my mind off the pain. I also love the fact that she knows my skin too well, being a professional who has attended to my needs for over two years now. Awhile ago, she said that I have a combination skin which means that some parts of my face are oily while the others remain very dry. Because of this, she said I should continue using two facial washes depending on how my skin feels.
I personally love her "magic injection" which makes acne go away within twenty four hours. I was not injected earlier though because I have managed to get rid of acne. I had a peel though to help me get rid of the pimple marks.
Because her treatments are always effective, I do not need to go to her clinic regularly. In fact, I just go there whenever my skin starts to act up again. Nevertheless, I include her Acne Lotion to my daily skin regimen in order to prevent breakouts.
